You never cease to amaze. I was thinking about how you seem to have mastered so many of the things that other artists get so hung up on, like intense texture and light and these consistent and complicated compositions. It is an easy pleasure to lose yourself in your drawings. Many years of happy drawing and exploring to you! Chris really enjoys the more recent drawings done on black paper! We should colaborate sometime!!!
ps- you have a really nice studio(we are jealous!)

So, I finally got to see your site. And I'm just as impressed with your dedication to all your work as with your teaching. It was great to have you those three semesters. You have really helped me grow. Thank you. I know I will see you in the halls soon. I'm looking forward to more improvement and direction this year and you'll be one of the first to know! Dear Cynthia, I went to see your work at Columiba College in Columbia Missouri and I was awestruck. I like to work with colored pencil and some of my friends are always encouraging me to paint--somehow people have the erronious notion that real art is painting. Your work is beautiful, thought provoking, and inspiring. I hope to get back to see your work one more time before it leaves Columbia. Thanks for sharing it with us. Marilyn

the web page is being looked at all over Europe, as we (your daughter and I) drop the page address wherever we go. The responses from the europeans are much in the sense of "WOW" and you know euroepans do not get impressed by just anything. Ever thinking of expadning the geographical horizons of your work?

I just wanted to drop a note and thank you for all you help in my first 3 years at Northern Illinois University. You have taught me so much and opened my mind to ideas i never thought possible. You have become a great teacher, a great friend, and above all else, a great role model. My life as an illustrator has only just begun, but someday down the road, i will be able to look back at the person that helped me get my feet off the ground. Thank you for everything, and i love the website!
